On Wednesday evening Lunn's Jewellers opened their doors to an exclusive array of fashionistas and press to celebrate their elaborate newly refurbished store at Queens Arcade Belfast. It was a double celebration as they are also marking an impressive 60 years of business. We were all treated to a warm embracing welcome with delectable canapés, decadent macaroons and Lunn's very own branded champagne. With the sparkling cabinets full of jewels and the lavish interiors it was like floating into a beautiful dream.
Despite hosting some of the most exclusive luxury brands such as Lunn's Sparkling own collection of fine diamonds, Mikimoto, Cartier, David Yurman, Brietling and Rolex this family business managed to create a welcoming and personal ambiance that only a family team could provide.
My own personal favourite section in the store has to be the preloved/vintage pieces. I love vintage because not only is antique jewellery a wonderful way to gain a unique and classic look, but you also have the joy of knowing that you are wearing a miniature work of art! Each piece has a fascinating story to tell. Antique jewellery can also be a viable investment, as quality pieces are only going to go up in value. Magnificent pieces get handed down through the generations and when, or if, they come on the market can truly be unique and rare pieces. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices of some of the distinctive pieces.
The event was ran smoothly and to perfection which is a set standard for Cathy Martin and the CMPR team. We left with a feeling of pride that we could be a small part of this amazing businesses long achieving story. I personally pin down the mix of lovely down to earth staff mixed with pure untouchable quality to be the key to there 60 year success. In summary if you want first class service in a comfortable surroundings Lunn's is the only place to be.
