Kiss Nails and Lashes - Salon quality product at home

"Kiss - Bring the salon home" This company does just want it says on the tin.  High quality products that are quick and more cost effect than going to salon.... seems too good to be true doesn't it.  Well I decided to put the brand to the test and trial the products on a monthly basis.

Over the last month or so I tried three different kiss nail designs.  I have used a lot of different brands of the years but what stood out to me about the Kiss products was how practical and durable all the sets were.

I own a sewing company so its very important that my nails dont slow me down, I tried the short nails first which lasted me until I decided to take them off.  This is simply unheard of for me.  Everyone I spoke to said they looked like they had been done fresh in the salon so they differently live up to the "gel effect" title they claim to be.

Unique and Quirky Valentines Gift Ideas For under £10

Giving valentines gifts can be difficult and it shouldn't be.  Im not personally a big fan of the holiday so I hate wasting money on it.  My valentines day will consist of Pizza in sweats watching The Walking Dead.  So ive put together a unique list of budget friendly gifts so you dont have to!

These adorable money boxes come in two different styles and for only £2.49 you really will be saving money.

If you weren't expecting me to incorporate pizza into a valentines post you really dont know me.   A two piece set for only £3.99 you couldnt go wrong.

By far the best bath bombs I have ever used in my life.  From the packaging to the skin moisture this couldn't be a better gift.  They even change the water colour!  Hard to believe this whole set is only £7.99

Warning -Cute overload.  I literally died and went to lipstick heaven when I first seen these.  Every shade is stunning and I went for Dainty Marron Glace.  Bargain at only £6.90 each.

Theirs nothing more relaxing and romantic then a quiet room lit with candles.  My favourite candle brand of all time is D.L and Co.  You can actually smell these when they arnt even lit.  The RRP for this set is £30 currently on their own website but I have searched the web to find you the same set for only £7.99

I wanted to include something a bit different and out of the box.  These custom made prints will have a heart on any location you like.  It could be your wedding venue, your home, where your child was born or where you got engaged.  They even do international ones so you could have a heart on your favourite holiday location or where they are from.  Prices start from £4.85 depending on size.

Last but not least this very cute and dainty gold plated necklace by Estella Bartlett is a truly special piece.  RRP is usually £21 but I have found it for a reduced price of £9.99

Hope you enjoyed my gift list and let me know I your going to buy any of them!

Anonymous Jewellery Monthly Subscription Box Unboxing in Collaboration with Boxession

This week I had a really nice pink box arrive in the post for review.  I knew I was going to be guest blogging for Boxession and they had mentioned it would be a jewellery subscription box but apart from that I was clueless.  I wanted my unboxing to be pure with little background or knowledge of the brand so I could give my honest opinion.  I was asked to do a LIVE unboxing so the nerves as usual were shaky but I got threw it and you can find the link below in the credits if you fancy a laugh.

The box is monthly and you have the choice for a one off box.  Prices start at £10.90 (this appears to have went up since I live unboxed to £12.50) and you can choose how many surprise pieces you would like.  They send you a personality quiz type questionnaire to find out you style.  As I was blogging I didn't receive a questionnaire and I got earrings which I dont wear but that was at no fault of the company.  I will pass those along in a give away!

I love this cute little bracelet!  I usually would find jewellery with things like keys on them tacky but with the dainty detailing and intricate work I really feel this is a stylish piece.  The back has a lovely dangle detail with stones embedded on the ends which just add extra luxury to this piece.

I have been wearing the necklace now for 3 days.  To give it a good strong review I wore it 24/7 including sleeping, baths and showers (naughty me) because I know some people forget to take off!    Ive had no taring, no stained skin and no wear or breakage at all.  I am comfortable at this point to say it is a good strong and reliable piece.  I would recommend the necklace as a statement piece in your wardrobe accessorise collection.

I couldn't find the same earrings on the website so the link is for a similar pair.  Even tho I didn't get a chance to try these I do like the design and they seam good and sturdy.

In summary I love the concept behind the monthly subscription box.  Its definitely something different and not only is the concept a novelty but the branding is well thought threw.  The website is very simple and straight to the point, easy to use also which is very important.  Nothing worse than a frustrating website.  The parcel arrived via Royal Mail with a post box friendly sized box which I really appreciate as I HATE those little red slips.  Price wise I think even tho its more risky getting the monthly surprise box it is defiantly better value.  All of the items I tried I would say are worth the RRP price on the website. I would recommend this box and buying the jewellery separately and I think it would make an ideal gift also!

Use code - BOXESSION10 for 10% discount on your first box.

I would like a say a big thank you to Anonymous jewellery for sending me such lovely and unique jewellery which I know I will continue to enjoy wearing,  I hope you guys enjoyed my reviews!  Also of course not forgetting Boxession who on this occasion I have guest blogged for,  I look forward to our continued work together.

Top Tips To Help Soothe Chronic or Acute Pain Without Medication

It’s not a secret that prescribed medicine can have a knock on effect giving you other side affects.  For me that main side affect is stomach pain which leads me to taking more meds to counteract that.  Where does it stop?  I decided a long time ago that if I don’t REALLY need my pain killers that I wouldn’t take them which lead me down the route of a different path.  Threw my research and trial/error I have gotten myself into a routine of using different methods in aid of keeping the flare ups at bay.  These are things I personally do/use on a daily/weekly basis that work for me.  I have included recommendations on were to buy at the end.

Baths
Not only are baths peaceful and soothing they can also really help with some deep seeded pain.  Heat therapy is the one thing that really works for me.  Submerging your body in hot water will help ease tight muscles and relax your body.  I swear by baths so much I recently had a new large one installed so I could stretch and really get the full potential a bath has to give.  Saunas and Jacuzzi also obviously work in the same way with the jets of a Jacuzzi moving water to various parts of your body, this will release endorphin's which are your body’s natural pain relievers.

Radox Muscle Soak with Thyme
Radox bath salts are a know remedy for muscle pain but until recently it was thought to be folklore.  The product includes Epsom salt and its main component is magnesium.  Magnesium can be soaked up via the skin in a bath and helps by flushing lactic build up in muscles, helps the body absorb vitamins and helps regulate the muscle/nerve function.  A personal pet peeve of mine regarding Radox Salts is the packaging is made of cardboard so if you get it near water it falls apart.  I keep mine in a jar to keep my OCD at bay.

Sun
I know its not always possible just when I am in the sun its like the veil of pain is lifted.  Vitiam D which we get from the sun is essential for muscle movement, communication between nerves and fighting against inflammation.  You can of course take Vitiam D supplements instead but for me the effect isn't as strong.  Always wear the right amount of sun protection needed.

Eye Masks/Ear Plugs
With my condition I often get sensitivity to light and sound which usually leads to an intense headache.  I counter this when I can by turning everything off and sticking on a eye mask with ear plugs.  A heated mask is even better!  My husband will tell you this is one of the more annoying symptoms of my condition as I tell him off for speaking loudly when really he is just talking normal.

Weighted Blanket
Weighted blankets are a relatively new thing and they come at a cost.  The blankets are filled with pellets and the pressure caused from this helps the body produce serotonin and endorophons which help the body feel more relaxed or calm.  In turn they can help treat stress, physical discomfort and sleeplessness.  You can also fold up the blanket and put it on a painful targeted area for pressure.

Hot Water Bottles
You mighty be thinking at this point, OK yes this is common sense.  Yes hot water bottles soothe the muscles but they can also heal damaged tissue. Applying heat to the affected pain area will improve circulation/blood flow in the area which increases the temperature leading to less discomfort and increased muscle flexibility.  Heat therapy unlike cold therapy works better the longer it is on the affected area.  For severe pain 30 mins to 2 hours works best.  A word of warming please dont fill your hot water bottle too full.  I fill mine less than half way and squeeze the air out before putting lid back on.  When I was 15 I had a hot water bottle explode on my bare legs leading to second degree burns from my knees to my waist.  I only started using them again in the last two years fourteen years later.

Thank You for reading and hope my tips bring you some comfort.
Please let me know if you have any more suggestions for me!
