A new high end hairdressing experience has recently landed in Belfast and everyone is talking about it. I am of course talking about Monet Hair which has recently opened doors on the prestigious Lisburn Road. Sitting shoulder to shoulder with some of the biggest and best high end boutiques, restaurants and cafes this new salon is sure to be a roaring success. To add to the mountain of highly trained and experienced staff award winning Lee Stinton my all time favourite hairdresser/stylist has joined teams with Monet as Style director. The launch event of the salon was riddled with the best style and fashionistas NI has to offer so choosing my favourite looks was difficult. Check out some social shots below. I am huge into my hair and always seeking new treatments to keep it healthy and long so I cannot wait to try this salon out for myself very soon! Watch This Space.

MONET HAIR MAKING WAVES & TURNING HEADS ON BELFAST’S LISBURN ROAD
Owner Patrick Mone, who is originally from Armagh, decided to take the chop and launch Monet Hair after running a successful retail outlet in Dublin’s city centre for the past three years as well as having previously run a chain of successful hair salons throughout Ireland before deciding to open his own hair business.
Speaking of his latest venture Mone said: “Fashion, hair and beauty are all so tightly interlinked and my previous experience in these areas will ensure that Monet Hair will be at the forefront of styling and colour in Belfast.”
Ensuring Monet arrives at the top of its field, Mone has added some of Northern Ireland’s leading hair stylists to the team with a combined experience of over 40 years in the industry. And, to complement the hair experts, he has joined forces with multi award-winning make up maestro, Paddy McGurgan, who will have a Make Up Pro Store concession within the salon, making Monet the perfect one-stop shop for hair and beauty in south Belfast. The addition of one of Northern Ireland’s leading creatives pays tribute to the level of expertise and talent that customers can expect when visiting Monet.
“I’m excited about our collaboration with Paddy McGurgan.” said Mone. “We’re both from Armagh but didn’t know each other previously until we were introduced by a mutual business colleague. This is a first for him and I am grateful that he is choosing to work with us. Having make up and beauty on site as well as hair means that a visit to Monet is both convenient and enjoyable, allowing customers to save time without sacrificing the quality of the services.”
McGurgan added “Opening a concession of my business is something entirely new for me. I had looked at sites on the Lisburn Road before for a standalone retail unit, but none seemed right, so this is a fantastic way for me to have a pied-à-terre in BT9 and offer our services to south Belfast clients while also teaming up with a fellow Armagh businessman. I’m grateful to Cathy Martin for bringing us together and making the suggestion - here’s hoping Patrick and I can complement each other’s services and that this is a side of the business I can grow across Northern Ireland and maybe even further afield.”
In a first for Northern Ireland, customers will be able to sign up to Monet’s Blow Dry Club – an exclusive, members-only club with access to unlimited blow dries as well as other special discounts for a monthly fee. This innovative idea is the perfect demonstration of Mone’s unique understanding of the modern customer’s needs.
David Jenkins is a senior stylist in the salon who began his career training with hair experts Toni & Guy and has since trained with colour specialists, Wella. Jenkins has spent the last fifteen years in the hairdressing industry where he has worked in a variety of top hair salons across the UK.
“Watching Patrick build this from the ground up has been a big inspiration to the whole team,” Jenkins said. “To be able to work for him and learn with and from him is very exciting.”
The salon offers cut and colour treatments alongside specialist services such as olaplex treatments, extensions and a QOD 16 week blowdry. Favoured by celebrities, Monet will be the only salon in Belfast to offer the organic QOD blowdry – a Brazilian Keratin treatment that is 100% formdehyde free and offers 16 weeks’ shine, smoothness and manageability; providing salon-like hair with minimum effort.
Expert favourites, Kerastase, Label M and Wella products will all be available at the salon. Customers can also benefit from 20 bespoke nourishing treatments, where qualified stylists will prescribe a treatment based on specific hair needs
Exceptional customer experience is at the heart of Monet Hair and Mone aims to create an environment that is as welcoming as it is chic. “A visit to Monet Hair is more than a new hairstyle.” He said. “Monet is as much elegant and high-end, as it is casual and comfortable. We have created a relaxing atmosphere where customers can come in, put their feet up and enjoy a 5 star service.”
Peace and Love
