Joan Collins Timeless beauty Lipstick Review with Swatches

It has to be said my safe zone is a matte lipstick.  Mattes are my go to product so I was delighted to have the chance to try out some creamy moisturising formulas for a change.

When I first heard Joan Collins had launched a new beauty range I was so intrigued to see what she had came up with.  I expected glamour, elegance with a diva twist and its safe to say I was not disappointed.

OK firstly lets just take a second to step back and take in that packaging.  I mean just look at it.  Its straight out of a 1950s beauty campaign which is one of the strongest compliments I have given in a while.  The lipsticks comes in this weighty metal casing which just screams elegance.  Now I know what your thinking where have I seen this before?  It took me a few hours before it hit me but the packaging is very similar to another current cult following lipstick.  Charlotte Tilbury of course.

With a side by side comparison its hard to tell which is which but with the Joan Collins price point being £18 and the Charlotte Tibury at £24 I know which I will be investing my money in.  And its not only the packaging that is similar the actual products are neck in neck in quality also.

After using the lipsticks for over a week to give them a fair try I can safety say they are creamy yet long lasting!  I could wear the product for hours without it smearing or wearing.  The swatches shown are literally only one swipe so as you can see the colour pay off and pigment is impressive.  The blush pink tone shade is called Marilyn which my favourite and the warm red is called Alexis.  I found the formula has a magic plumping effect which I am always all for!

They product comes in a range of colours great for this season and I have already invested in a few more shades myself.  I mean how could I not?
